Computing
At Auriol Junior School, our main aim is to equip all pupils with essential skills and knowledge to navigate the ever-changing digital landscape. Our primary focus is on fostering a deep understanding of principles such as computer science, information technology and digital literacy, ensuring that students develop problem-solving abilities and computational thinking from the start of their online journey. We prioritise the cultivation of responsible and ethical online behaviour, emphasising the significance of positive digital relationships and cybersecurity. Our intent is to instil digital literacy as a skill to empower students to critically evaluate information and navigate the digital world safely. By providing a comprehensive computing education, we aspire to prepare our pupils to be confident, adaptable, resilient and well-rounded individuals who are ready for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
